Quote by SilentKnightthat's cause Usher does suck

and Nelly is a disgrace to rap, right in the same category as 50 Cent and the rest of them mainstream ass sellouts who keep pushing the same bullshit watered down meaningless shit they call music.

no thanks, I'll take a Sage Francis or Talib Kweli album over some idiot wannabe rapper's album anyday

you are a fukn bitch arent you? dont fukn post shit like this! do i say that the artist you like is a bitch or a hoe? NO! SO DONT FUKN POST SHIT LIKE THIS! your the one whos a disgrace ass!

1. I have the freedom to post my thoughts, so don't bitch about what I can or can't post.

2. It's not my fault that your taste in music sucks. If you had any sense about you, you would've realized long ago that Usher and Nelly do in fact suck.

3. It's spelled fucking, not fukn. Responding to my post with a string of cusswords makes for a clear representation of how truly immature you are. We are done here, I'm done wasting brain cells on you.

I'm still monitoring the Hip Hop and Rap alliance group so you can join anytime you want. I haven't really been that active lately since minitokyo seems to be 90% anti-rap/ hip hop oriented.

f

lol, just saying that it's a common topic on these forums and you would've probably found one within a few pages.
as for deleting and closing, only mods can do that, hence the whole flagging a thread deal.

sorry about the late response, as I don't really visit this site as often anymore
but yea sure, feel free to add me on your friends list.

NJ as in New Jersey? If that's the case, nah, I'm from California. But yea, saw your post in that rap thread, couldn't have said it better myself.

alright, I'll admit that my tone was unnecessarily ignorant in that
post. I'm just sick and tired of having to defend rap (and in extreme
cases defend myself) ALL the time from people who see it as nothing
more than drugs, money, and guns.
so once again, sorry, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and
started firing off statements right off the bat.

No need to apologize. I understand what you said and I have to agree
that many of us have some misconceptions about rap. You must appreciate
rap very much, if you're willing to "defend" it everytime someone makes
an ignorant comment. *coughmecough* Sorry if my comments seemed harsh
or rude. Friends?

no need to apologize, I got ahead of myself and overreacted.

Friends? Need you ask? Welcome to my friends list.

Quote by SilentKnightit's not tasteless, you're just being ignorant and
over-generalizing rap without reading more into it.
lemme guess your argument, why is rap all about drugs, sex, violence,
and money? It isn't, do your research.
how could you listen to someone just talking to a beat? One could
easily argue that rock is all about screaming and distorted guitars.
funny, it seems like everywhere I go, online or offline, a majority of
the people hate rap and provide the same exact arguments and simply
ignore my side of the argument. Oh well, that's just the sad truth of
today's society.

Most rap is about all those things you mentioned. Yet there are some
exceptions. Those who rap about the importance of working hard to
realize your dreams, and the like. However I bet many would agree that
most rap, and by that I mean what is being played in the streets,
clubs, on the radio, is indeed about drugs, money, etc. Now if you like
rap, good for you. I'm not here to judge you. Learn to respect other
people's opinions before you start criticizing and calling them
ignorant. Just a thought.

haha, you're going to Wilson eh?
well a bit of insider info from a recent graduate:
Gunther is an ass going through constant male PMS, he has issues, watch out for him. If you DO get his class, try not to piss him off a lot. Chances are he's going to yell at you sooner or later for some stupid-ass reason.
Moore, the English 2, 2H teacher is kick ass. Her class is pretty kick-back.
Dobrenen the Chem teacher is a somewhat funny guy, his Chem honors class is somewhat difficult but manageable. As for info on his tests.......I'll have to see about that.
Webster the Civics teacher is pretty cool.
Fessesnden the Physics teacher is usually lame, albeit a little funny at times. Physics takes a LOT of math, and is tougher for those that aren't in pre-calc during their first year of physics.
Lin the Geo, Alg, Pre-Calc teacher is........well....a........let's just say a lot of students didn't like her. If you're going to take pre-calc, I'd suggest the other teacher, An i think...
Nicholson, probably as hated as Gunther. She's a math teacher (Alg2Honors) that's unbelieveably picky and thorough with things.
Fair, US History and US AP teacher. Sleeping and slacking off in his class are your worst enemies. Take the time to read the book, and take notes on his lectures, otherwise his tests will murder you.
Vetter, the Art&Civilization teacher is nice yet strict in his own way. He's very into his job of teaching, and even more into art itself in general.
Wong, the higher level Chinese teacher is yet another nice person. She doesn't ask for much from her students, as long as you do the HW, don't cheat, and participate, you should be fine.
and that's about all I remember at the moment....

f

nice instrumental, what program did you use to make it?
I like the pads you used to give it an atmospheric effect. I would suggest adding something that stands out a little more as the melody, as the current instrumental sounds more like a bassline or accompanyment (sp?). But, those are just my two cents, so ignore it if you want.

f

actually the 2 mp3 links I posted didn't involve piracy in any way, as they are original remixes that the remixers themselves post to share with others. but whatever, just thought I'd let you know.

:DThanks for your thoughts and comments on my thread......
:) "Which is important a song's lyrics or it's melody?"
:o I can see how lyrics would be more important than the melody if the focus is mostly on the words.
:) Something like a poem being performed.
;) Both are good because melody and lyrics complement each other.
:pacman: Thanks, take care, and see ya around!

no problem, your welcome, and see you around as well.

oh snap, do you play on ChocoRO?
